Symbol Of Love – Art I Painted Fifteen Years Back

I am an artist who sells my artwork as canvas art prints, and I want to tell you a short story about one of my paintings.

It was the year 1995 and my betrothal party was just over and I was waiting for the day of my marriage. My thoughts were filled with romantic feelings and I wanted to paint something that would reflect my feelings. The picture in a greeting card impressed me very much. On the bank of the river there are some houses and trees covered with snow and a couple of beautiful birds had spread their wings and started their flight pursuing their dreams. It took me one full day to mix the shades to my liking.

After finishing, I wanted to write some quotes on it to show my love for my fiancé. So I wrote these lines using a brush: ‘Absence is to love, What wind is to fire, It extinguishes the small, It enkindles the great!’. It seemed to be more appropriate for the feelings and emotions I had then. This picture, I hung on the wall opposite to my bed and brought me fresh dreams every night. Now the painting had turned yellow by the passage of time and it had wilted and withered here and there. But it is a symbol of our love and stands to speak of those sweetest days even after fifteen long years.
